Our first harvest ceremonial matcha comes from the Kagoshima region of Japan, where volcanic soil and humid climate result in exceptional quality tea leaves.

Suggested preparation:
In Japan, matcha is traditionally consumed during tea ceremonies, whisked with water until frothy, but it can be enjoyed just as much at home – either as a classic tea or as a latte.

As tea
Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha powder, then mix it with 70–80°C water (approx. 70–100 ml) until smooth and frothy. You can use a bamboo whisk or a milk frother for this. -
As a matcha latte
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of matcha powder in a little warm water, then pour in 150–200 ml of warm or cold milk – you can sweeten it to taste.
