Our first harvest ceremonial matcha comes from the Kagoshima region of Japan, where volcanic soil and a humid climate result in exceptionally high-quality tea leaves.

Its naturally occurring L-theanine promotes focused calmness and can reduce stress, while its high chlorophyll content supports cellular detoxification and a feeling of freshness. This variant is an excellent choice both on its own and prepared as a matcha latte, if a harmonious, balanced taste and a premium matcha experience are important to you.

Preparation suggestion:

In Japan, matcha is traditionally consumed during tea ceremonies, frothed with water, but it can be enjoyed just as much at home – either as a classic tea or as a latte.

• As a tea
  Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha powder, then mix it with 70–80°C water (approx. 70–100 ml) until smooth and frothy. You can use a bamboo whisk or a milk frother for this.
• As a matcha latte
  Dissolve 1 teaspoon of matcha powder in a little warm water, then top it with 150–200 ml of warm or cold milk – you can sweeten it to taste.
