Our first-harvest ceremonial matcha comes from the Kagoshima region of Japan, where the volcanic soil and humid climate produce tea leaves of exceptional quality.

Preparation suggestion:
Matcha is traditionally consumed in Japan during tea ceremonies, frothed with water, but it can also be enjoyed at home - either as a classic tea or as a latte.

As a tea
Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha powder and mix with 70–80°C water (approx. 70–100 ml) until smooth and frothy. You can use a bamboo chasen or a milk frother for this. -
Matcha as a latte
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of matcha powder in a little warm water, then pour over 150–200 ml of warm or cold milk – you can sweeten it to taste.
